Most founders know they should be posting on LinkedIn. Almost none keep it up for more than a few weeks. It's not a discipline problem, and it's definitely not an ideas problem. It's a process problem.
Here's what actually breaks, and a simple fix that takes about two minutes a day.
The problem isn't ideas
You talk to customers, investors and your team all day. You explain your product, argue about pricing and tell the same war stories over and over. That's content. The trouble is it lives in calls and Slack threads, not in a doc titled "LinkedIn ideas."
Where founder content breaks
The blank page. Sitting down to "write a post" with nothing in front of you is the fastest way to write nothing at all.
The polish trap. You rewrite the hook six times, then decide it's not good enough to post. An hour gone, zero posts.
No feedback loop. You post, get some likes, and have no idea whether any of it turned into a conversation with a buyer.
"Your best posts are things you've already said out loud. You just never wrote them down."
The 2-minute fix
Flip the order. Instead of writing, talk. Instead of starting from zero, start from something you already said this week.
1. Capture. Pick one moment from your week: a customer question, a lost deal, a hot take from Slack.
2. Talk. Record two minutes on it, the way you'd explain it to a friend. No script.
3. Approve. Turn that into a post, read it once, and ship it. Good and posted beats perfect and in drafts.
How Dripseed does it: we pull topics from your calls, Slack and email, you record a 2-minute voice note, and we turn it into a post in your voice. You approve it in Slack. That's your whole job.
What to measure instead of likes
Likes feel good, but they don't pay the bills. Track the things that move pipeline:
- Who engaged, and whether they match your ideal customer profile
- How many of those people became conversations
- Which topics bring in the right people, so you can do more of them
Start this week
Pick three moments from this week. Record two minutes on each. Post one every other day. By Friday you'll have more founder content out than most of your competitors will this month.
